Ned MooreMr. Moore proudly serves as the Director of the Lafon Arts Center. He has worked with professional artists and arts organizations locally, nationally and internationally for over a decade. Alongside his work in the arts industry, he was and always will be a passionate educator of K – 12 students, having most recently served as a Talented Theatre Teacher at Harry Hurst Middle School in St. Charles Parish. Mr. Moore’s vision for the Center is to ensure that everyone who walks through its doors feels proud, inspired, and transformed by the power of Arts Education. He views the Lafon Arts Center as a model for Arts Education institutions across the country. A resident of Central City New Orleans, Mr. Moore and his wife run a community garden and enjoy getting creative in the kitchen with their family.

Awards / Recognition: Mr. Moore has received fellowships from The Croatian National Theatre, The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, and Columbia University. In New York, he has helped develop new plays with the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, The New Group, and New York Theatre Workshop, and his colleagues at Columbia University. His critical writing appears in Culturebot and TDF Stages magazines.
