Step into a world of magic, adventure, and unforgettable music with the River Region Drama Guild production of Mary Poppins! Based on the beloved Disney classic, this enchanting musical follows the practically perfect nanny, Mary Poppins, as she brings joy, wonder, and life lessons to the Banks family through imagination, kindness, and a little bit of magic.

For decades, the River Region Drama Guild has been a cornerstone of community theatre in the River Region, bringing together performers, families, and audiences through a rich tradition of live entertainment, creativity, and education in the performing arts. From classic productions to youth workshops and community events, RRDG has remained dedicated to inspiring the next generation of performers while preserving the magic of theatre for all ages.

This season, that tradition continues with Mary Poppins, a heartwarming and spectacular musical filled with high-energy dance numbers, colorful characters, and favorite songs like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “A Spoonful of Sugar,” and “Let’s Go Fly a Kite,” this family-friendly production showcases the incredible talent and creativity of local performers.  Combining the charm of the beloved stories with the energy and talent of local performers, Mary Poppins represents everything the River Region Drama Guild stands for, community, creativity, and the joy of bringing people together through the arts.  Join River Region Drama Guild as they bring this timeless story to life on stage for audiences of all ages to enjoy.

The Nutcracker Presented in Collaboration with Ballet Images

Giant mice, dancing snowflakes, a growing Christmas tree, and an enchanted nutcracker are sure to delight the inner child in everyone. Ballet Images’ combination of amazing dancers, gorgeous sets and costumes and Tchaikovsky’s timeless music makes this one of the greatest holiday shows!  Come experience this beautiful ballet that truly portrays the magic of the season.

Public Performance will take place Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7:00pm and Sunday, Dec. 13 at 3:00pm.

Sugar Plum Party Presented in Collaboration with Ballet Images

Saturday, December 12

This will be an abbreviated one hour performance of The Nutcracker. The performance will be followed by a “Sugar Plum Party”. The audience members will be invited to join the Sugar Plum Fairy onstage and experience “The Kingdom of the Sweets” for themselves. They can meet and talk to their favorite characters, experience what it is like to be on the stage under the glowing lights, and take pictures.
