Student Matinees

We’re excited to welcome schools to the Lafon Arts Center for our School Matinee programs — one of the region’s most engaging live theatre experiences for students.

This year, we’re especially proud to share that we are expanding our student matinee offerings, opening the door for even more schools across the region to take part. While we’ve long served St. Charles Parish Public Schools, we’re now growing this program so more students can experience the impact of live performance.

A Live Theatre Experience Students Don’t Forget

Our student matinees are built around performances that connect directly to classroom learning, while still feeling exciting, accessible, and alive for young audiences.

For many students, this is their first time stepping into a professional theatre. It’s a simple moment, but one that often sticks—because it makes stories, ideas, and emotions feel real in a completely new way.

Teachers often tell us it’s one of the few field trips where students stay talking about it long after they’ve returned to school.
