Lafon Arts Center is a unique, community-supported arts education destination where St. Charles Parish students discover their creative potential through professional-level instruction, state-of-the-art facilities, and mentorship from world-class artists. Here, we transform individual sparks of creativity into shared brilliance, proving that when a community invests in the arts, every student wins.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide all St. Charles Parish Public School students and surrounding community members with access to create and appreciate the arts alongside artists from around the corner to around the globe. Through these opportunities, we remove barriers, unite communities, and create a safe environment where everyone can explore diversity, lifelong learning, and participation in the arts.
Every morning, 10,000 students wake up in St. Charles Parish with creative potential waiting to be tapped.
Some will find their voice in a song. Others will discover their courage on stage. Many will express their vision through fine arts or digital media. But all will learn that art is about more than becoming an artist. It’s about igniting something within — and finding one’s own unique confidence.
