The Dr. Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center is committed to ensuring that every patron—regardless of mobility, ability, or financial circumstance—can fully experience the arts. With abundant ADA seating, free parking, and support for patrons who may face cost barriers, Lafon strives to make performances welcoming and accessible to all.

ADA Seating

Lafon offers a large amount of ADA seating throughout both the Shell Theater and the Black Box. Accessible seating and companion seats are available for all performances. To request accessible seating or discuss accommodations, please contact the Box Office at 985-331-3670 or visit in person.

Assistive Listening Devices

Wireless hearing enhancement devices are available free of charge and may be checked out with a government-issued ID at the Will Call desk.

ASL Interpretation

American Sign Language interpretation is available for most performances with two weeks’ advance notice. Please contact the Box Office as early as possible to request ASL services.

Free Parking

All Lafon Arts Center parking lots offer free parking, including ADA-accessible spaces.

Financial Accessibility

For patrons for whom ticket cost may be a barrier, the Box Office can share available options, including Community Rush Tickets (when available) and Group rates. For assistance, please call 985-331-3670.
