DESCRIPTION:The St. Charles Parish Honor Band celebrates excellence in music education by bringing together outstanding student musicians from across the parish in grades 4–12. Selection into this ensemble reflects a high level of dedication\, discipline\, and passion for music\, and we are proud to be among only a few districts in Louisiana to offer a parish-level honor band experience. \n\n\nThis multi-day event challenges and elevates students through intensive rehearsals and performances led by accomplished\, highly respected guest clinicians. Students engage in meaningful musical collaboration\, refine advanced performance skills\, and experience the expectations of a high-level ensemble environment. \n\n\nThe St. Charles Parish Honor Band is designed to both showcase student achievement and invest in their continued artistic growth\, reinforcing our district’s commitment to excellence in arts education. \n\nLobby doors open at 6:00pm\, and theatre doors open at 6:30pm.

DESCRIPTION:Take a ride on the “Midnight Train to Georgia” over “River Deep\, Mountain High” while award-winning vocalist CeCe Teneal delivers you the “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” you deserve in DIVAS OF SOUL — a one-of-a-kind concert event! \nThis spectacular celebration of fifty years of chart-topping music from legendary artists like Aretha Franklin\, Gladys Knight\, Chaka Khan\, Tina Turner\, Whitney Houston\, and more has wowed audiences worldwide\, featuring hits from the Disco Era (“Ring My Bell\,” “Best of My Love”) to Broadway (“And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going”) and Pop (“What’s Love Got to Do with It\,” “I’m Every Woman”). \nAdding to this unforgettable evening\, students from Destrehan and Hahnville High School choirs and show choir will join CeCe Teneal on stage for a powerful rendition of “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” This special collaboration showcases the incredible talent of our local students and adds an inspiring community touch to the performance. \nAn award-winning songstress in her own right\, Ms. Teneal has been nominated for four Independent Music Awards and claimed the titles for 2011 Best Gospel Song (“I Heard You Prayin’”) and 2011 Best R&B Album (Train from Osteen)\, as well as 2018 Best Soul/Funk/Fusion Song (“Danger”).
