SUMMARY:The Luling Ferry Disaster - 50th Anniversary Documentary Screening
DESCRIPTION:Presented in collaboration with St. Charles Parish Library. \nJoin us for a free screening of Royd Anderson’s 2006 documentary The Luling Ferry Disaster in honor of the 50th anniversary of the event. This student film led to the creation of the George Prince Ferry Memorial at the East Bank Bridge Park in 2009. Anderson will be present for a discussion following the screening. \nAdmission is free.  Registration opens Oct. 1 and can be accessed HERE. \nLobby doors will open at 5:30pm\, and theatre doors will open at 6:00pm. \n** Please note that SCPPS Event Safety Guidelines will be in effect.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score\, this full-length classical ballet follows Clara’s magical journey from a festive Christmas Eve celebration to the enchanting Land of Snow and Kingdom of Sweets. Filled with breathtaking dancing\, stunning costumes\, and timeless storytelling\, The Nutcracker is a magical holiday experience the whole family will treasure. \nPublic Performance will take place Saturday\, Dec. 12 at 7:00pm and Sunday\, Dec. 13 at 3:00pm. \nA school matinee performance will take place Monday\, Dec. 14 at 10:00am.
